Social Entrepreneur Miki Agrawal Answers Your Questions

Miki Agrawal has agreed to sit down and answer the most commonly asked questions from her many fans. The founder of TUSHY was eager to show a side of herself that might help young entrepreneurs who need a little bit of encouragement to pursue their own dreams.

Q: What’s the most recent project you’ve worked on?

A: Creating TUSHY, an accessible and cost-effective bidet attachment.

Q: Where exactly did you come from and grow up?

A: Although I was born in Montreal, I spent much of my childhood in Austin, Texas. For all intents and purposes, Austin is my hometown.

Q: What would you say your occupation is, if you had to choose?

A: I am the creator of three companies: WILD, Thinx, and TUSHY. I am also a social entrepreneur.

Q: There’s a story going around that you speak more than one language. Is that true?

A: That is correct! I am fluent in the following languages: English, Japanese, Spanish, and French.

Q: What’s the most recent thing you’ve achieved that you’re very pleased with?

A: TUSHY has successfully concluded a financing round very recently.

Q: What do you want to accomplish in the years to come?

A: I am especially interested in serving as a mentor to aspiring young businesspeople and, in particular, to women of color.

Q: To this point, what do you regard to be your most significant accomplishment?

A: I was recently asked to give a presentation at a leadership training exercise that was carried out in Antarctica. It was about using art and creativity to find solutions to the challenges facing the globe. That was something that really got my blood pumping. But in terms of my company, TUSHY, I think I can be pretty proud of being able to save 15 million trees every year and of contributing to the improvement of human health and hygiene by spreading the word about the advantages of using TUSHY bidets.

Q: Is it accurate to say that you are a supporter of soccer?

A: Before I started my own companies, I played soccer at the professional level.

Q: Who in your life do you consider to have had the most significant influence?

A: If I had to choose, I’d have to point the finger at my identical twin sister.

Q: At this stage in your professional life, what do you consider to be the one piece of guidance that has been the most helpful to you?

A: Although I’ve had a lot of excellent advice, the piece of guidance that has been the most helpful to me in terms of my professional life is to recruit slowly but terminate quickly.

Q: What would your best friend say about you if they had to describe you?

A: Miki Agrawal is real and original.

Q: If you could describe the perfect working relationship, what would it look like?

A: I’d classify it as a person who had a skill set that was precisely the opposite of mine, as well as a temperament that was exactly the opposite of mine. In other words, they would be the complete antithesis of Miki Agrawal. I believe that a reflective and contemplative business partner would be excellent for a business relationship with me.

Q: What kind of technology do you believe will continue to be the most beneficial to both you and your company in the future?

A: Without a doubt, the internet.

Q: If you had the opportunity to determine the title of a movie that was based on your life, what do you think it would be called?

A: Get it Done: the Story of Miki Agrawal.

Q: How would you choose to spend your last day on earth if you were aware that it would be your last?

A: I would spend it outside in the fresh air and companionship of those who mean the most to me.

Q: Do you live by a certain creed or adage?

A: My personal motto is to live deep and squeeze the marrow out of life!
